Have your bills hit you hard, and now you're in need of extra cash? Has the recession eliminated your job, and now you're struggling to get by? Take these 15 suggestions on how to make extra money on the side.

#1: Donate Plasma

Donating Plasma is a safe and easy medical procedure that can help people hemophiliacs, burn victims, and those that need blood transfusions. What is plasma? Plasma is essentially the the yellowish liquid that carries your blood and nutrients throughout your body. And the only side effect is a rare bruise where the needle is inserted. Count on $20-$45 bucks a trip.

#2: Sell Stuff on Ebay

Ebay may seem a bit overwhelming at first, for someone who's never sold online before. But it doesn't take long to get setup and selling. Just be sure to incorporate shipping fees and the price of boxes.

#3: Sell Digital Photos Online

As more and more companies need stock images for their business websites, there's a greater demand for high-quality photographs of certain events or objects. Do you have the photographer's eye for the such? It could make you decent earnings. Websites such as: ShutterPoint, ShutterShock, and Cerizmo offer this deal.

#4: Mow Lawns

Though this is only really available during the spring and summer, mowing lawns can be highly profitable if you plan on working all day, everyday, rotating which homes you do. Your neighbors should pay out about $20 should they accept your work, and I've known some to have you mow their lawn once a week! The money only climbs higher with the more people you work for!

#5: Shoveling Sideways, Roads, and Driveways

Much in the same niche of mowing lawns, this is really only available during the winter months. For those that don't wish to face the cold, and the chance of injuring themselves on the ice and snow, many will pay to have somebody else clear their street, sidewalk, and driveway.

#6: Become a Dog Walker

Are you a dog person? Walking other peoples' dogs can be quite enjoyable and can double as a workout. In addition, they usually make good wages, averaging about $16 an hour. This job, I'd recommend for those that don't mind the outdoors in every type of weather.

#7: Instruct / Educate Others

Have an ability you wouldn't mind teaching others? Many musical skills such as drumming and playing the guitar are widely demanded. But you aren't limited to only these two. You can teach practically anything. Tudor math. Instruct dance lessons. There's always somebody who wants a lesson.

#8: Babysit

A pretty classic job, can get you some easy money, especially if you're already caring for little kids. Many people who work nights need someone to watch their children. Why not help them by watching their kids? You can even compound your cash by watching several tikes at once!

#9: Free Survey Jobs Online

Free Cash Job Ideas. Testing out products and giving your opinions on things can yield some great rewards if you really keep at it. It never really caught fire with me, but I've heard and read (from credible sources) of people that have made good cash off of such programs.

#10: Become a Lifeguard

Usually centered around summer, some lifeguard jobs can go all year (mainly at indoor swimming pools). Once you get the training out of the way (a month or so), you can make good cash just sitting in a booth, checking on people while working on your tan. Plus, this job will keep you physically fit with all your training.

#11: Become a Seasonal Firefighter

Want to become a potential hero? You can be a part-time, paid firefighter
by enlisting in some state agencies. Here's a link to an example. Just beware, you could burn yourself!

Sologig.com. There are websites out there looking for seasoned professionals in their fields, employing them for side jobs and freelance work. This is ideal for people disrupted by the recession, or just need extra cash.

#13: Find and Sell Old Coins

The worth of an occassional silver dollar found on the street - or poured out of a coin machine - usually eludes the casual goer. But a lot of profit can be made off of them. There are even rarer coins, dating back to the start of the United States' colonies. The most success in hunting for strange coins lies in buying rolls of coins from banks, and finding those coins that don't belong.

#14: Make Crafts? Sell them on Etsy

Etsy - Buy and Sell Crafts. Some people who are artistically talented and enjoy spending time making widgets and artsy things could probably net profit on websites like Etsy. From crochet designs to dolls to paintings, you can sell pretty much everything craft-oriented here!

#15: Join a Direct Selling Company

The idea behind this is to have massive amounts of a company's product shipped to you, and you simply sell off the amount, your profit coming from the excess that you customers paid. There are some people that've made six-figure salaries off of this concept.
